#EZS W230 PINOUT UPDATE#
* This version DON't need update firmware
#EZS W230 PINOUT SOFTWARE#
VVDI PROG latest software version V4.5.2 update OSC was 8MHz (it's the list and I tried manually) If my clear file was not correct I will receive it again and test. Thanks for looking into this, but I don't have the ECU anymore.

Please grab a new dump with vvdiprog, need to further analyze of the problem. Maybe the osc frequency is not in VVDI PROG osc value list

(eg: the actual osc is 4Mhz, if you set a 8Mhz osc value and change the baudrate to 153600bps the chip will set a 76800bps) The d70f3624 can calculate the new baudrate with the osc value, but if the osc value is incorrect, you will get a wrong baudrate (VVDI PROG put some common-used osc value,so you can see try frequency xxxxhz info)ģ.Programer send the new baudrate value to d70f3624, vvdiprog use 153600bps VVDI PROG changed baudrate to 153600bps to decrease read timeġ.Use low baudrate 9600 wakeup the chip, if get the correct response,go to step2Ģ.Start change baudrate, due to the d70f3624 doesn't know own osc frequency, programer need send it the accurate value Thank you friend, checked dump, this programer use the default low baudrate 9600bps to read data. I recorded my other programmer reading it with Saleae Logic (v1.25), attached session and dump. VVDIprog doesn't even reach that part, it stops after the first reply of the mcu. – Then and only then, when all three control units agree it is the correct authorised key being used, will it allow the “Turn & Start” function to be activated.(I'll post this here because I might not see you online on skype tonight.) The ESL system will then look to see if the Engine ECU (Electronic Control Unit) agrees that this is the authorised key being used.
#EZS W230 PINOUT VERIFICATION#
Each time the key is inserted, the EIS system will check the key and then ask the ESL (Electronic Steering Lock) system for verification that it accepts the correct key is being used. The vehicle will instantaneously carry out a sequence of test handshakes to ensure the correct key has been inserted.

The key has a sequential code to ensure the vehicle is not stolen. It is more like a plastic lego-brick with what looks like an infra-red panel at the face of it which is inserted into the EIS socket on the dash. The hardware being the switch is like a small socket in the dash to insert your key into – only, it is not a traditional looking key. Mercedes EIS/EZS electronic system is like vehicle heart (Electronic Ignition Switch) but sometimes fails making big trouble for us. Some of the most common reasons are listed below: It is very unfortunate but also a very common problem as there are many reasons as to why these units are failing – most are due to human error.

This will stop the vehicle from starting. If the EIS unit becomes faulty, the Turn & Start function will be de-activated and the module will be locked for security purposes. One of the main problems is the Motorola CPU chip which fails, even the newer batch of EIS modules have the same processor fitted so fitting a new module won’t solve the problem entirely, it’s how you look after the vehicle which plays a big part. At this point, you would have been advised to purchase a new unit which can work out extremely expensive when working out the total bill with programming and labour inclusive with VAT.

All of the above can cause memory loss to the EIS module and it cannot be repaired or re-flashed using the Mercedes STAR diagnostic system.
